Recovery Journey -Project Effectiveness Research Result Release and Project Sharing Session
The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust donated to The Hong Kong Student Aid Society to launch The Hong Kong Student Aid Society Jockey Club "Restore" Youth Empowerment Project at the Jockey Club Mark Memorial Home, dedicated to serving children and youth receiving residential services, and their families. Through content rich in empowering and restorative elements, this project facilitated residents to overcome past trauma, build resilience, and understand their own potential and uniqueness, so as to actively face different challenges in life.
"Restore" Youth Empowerment Project not only introduces the concept of "Trauma-informed care" to improve the quality of current residential services, but also emphasizes on providing the services that boarders need from the time they move in to the time they leave the residential care service for children. Arrangements are made to respond to the service needs of boarding students at different stages of their stay.
Recovery Journey -Project Effectiveness Research Result Release and Project Sharing Session will be held on May 17, 2024 (Friday). We hope to raise the public understanding of applying “trauma-informed care” in children’s residential care services through sharing the project service effectiveness research report, videos, practical sharing, etc.
